Q: How did you end up at BirdNote? What was your journey to here?
I was in search of trying to find a role where I can combine the experiences that I've acquired over the years to something I really enjoy.
Q: What does a day in your life at BirdNote look like?
As a coordinator, I dive into the the data around our revenue as well as serve as point of contact for donor relations. My day consists of maintaining our databases used for revenue, reconciling funds on a daily basis, performing donor outreach and correspondences and operational task mapping when needed.
Q: What was your Spark Bird?
Honestly, I don't have a "spark bird", I enjoy bird watching because I simply enjoy nature. To me, birds are one of many beautiful parts of the world's ecosystem and is a reminder of my deep connection to the earth.
Q: What is your favorite BirdNote episode?
I enjoy the Bring Birds Back Podcast. Episodes that are my favorite are : "Building Community for BIPOC Birders" and "Let's All Go To Gullah Geechee Sea Islands with Isiah Scott"
Q: What would be your bird-themed super power?
The Bar-Tailed Godwit for sure. Their ability to travel for long distances without food or rest would be an elite superpower.
