Joey Manson works to connect people with all the things that exist in the natural world, especially birds. In his role as Center Director of the Seward Park Audubon Center in Seattle, he designs programs that build bridges to the communities that exist within one of our country's most ethnically diverse zip codes.
He is a native of Washington, DC where he attended the University of Maryland. He later worked in communications as the assistant business manager of an AM/FM radio combo in DC.
Before working for the National Audubon Society, Joey worked with an anaerobic digester startup, which provided a front row seat to some of the issues surrounding agriculture and food systems sustainability. The experience helped him develop a desire to work in conservation, and create pathways for youth interested in conservation studies and careers.
