A large wading bird, the Bar-tailed Godwit loves coastal shorelines and mudflats, where it forages for worms and crustaceans. It looks a bit out of place in the tundra where it spends nesting season. Known for their amazing migration, Bar-tailed Godwits fly nonstop from Alaska to New Zealand every fall.
