A wintering Palm Warbler captures - then gulps - a live spider. Lucky photographer, Gregg Thompson, catches the warbler in the act.
Palm Warblers primarily eat insects including flies, beetles and caterpillars. They hunt most insects on the ground and in bushes. But they can also snatch them in midair. In the winter they happily eat seeds and berries where available.
