Liz Felix is a public radio nerd with a background in music radio. She spent 15 years as a program director and music director at stations throughout the Midwest, including KBXR in Columbia, Missouri, WAPS in Akron, Ohio, and WNKU in Cincinnati. She inherited a love of both music and nature from her parents, who took her and her brother on camping trips in the West and taught them the names of their backyard birds at home in the Chicago area.
