A 360-degree Audio Adventure
The dawn chorus of singing birds has circled the planet as an endless wave for millions of years. Global Sunrise is really a single, unending song. Its composition changes as we move from place to place and from day to day, but the chorus continues.
We begin in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The sun’s rays arching across a 23.5°-tilted Earth light a path through Central America, western North America, the Hawaiian Islands, the vast Australian Outback, Sri Lanka, and the Kalahari Desert. Still arching forward in longitude, we descend once again to the Amazon, first in Brazil and then home to Ecuador.
This journey was recorded using a 360-degree human-head microphone. So if you have stereo headphones, put them on for a special treat. Be right there with the birds. This free extended-play version is 21 minutes, 35 seconds long.
You can purchase a 60-minute version of Global Sunrise at SoundTracker.com.
