Dennis Lorenz was born and raised in Germany. He moved to the Dominican Republic for his high school years and upon finishing, pursued a Bachelor's degree in zoology at Michigan State University and a subsequent Master's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After his college career he moved to Switzerland, where he currently lives.
Dennis' interest in photography started in 2004. While shooting a wide variety of subjects in his early years, he has since focused his energy solely on bird photography. His favorite subjects are songbirds and raptors of Europe and North America.
