I am a weekend birder and bird photographer and got into photographing birds, as I love the outdoors and am amazed at the diversity, habits, and unique adaptations that exist within the bird world. I live in the suburbs of Houston and thus have great access to a large number of species and get to enjoy the fabulous spring and fall bird migrations.
My favorite bird is a difficult choice, but I love the shorebirds and warblers.
