 We’re born with a sense of wonder. As infants, we delight in many things. We’re naturally curious. But inevitably the trials of life intervene…
 [“Yellow Bird” as played on a music box]
 The poet William Wordsworth wrote:
The world is too much with us; late and soon,
  Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;
  Little we see in nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
 Has your sense of wonder held up over the years, or has it been beaten down by too many nasty surprises? [JK, omit snarl of the mean dog] Are you weary of the daily grind? Do you work too hard, sit in traffic too much, find too little time to rejuvenate your spirits?
 [Traffic sounds, sounds of commerce]    
 Most of us can’t change society, but we can find small ways to bring balance into our lives. Like a lullaby, the simple delights are still there to make you glad and bring you peace. [“Yellow Bird” – up-tempo – then fade]
 Early some morning, go outside to watch and listen to birds. Be still. Take time to renew your natural gifts, for the world needs your curiosity and kindness.
