While these ducks really do have a whistle for their call, Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks also get attention for pairing flashy pink beaks and legs with the rich warm browns in their plumage. The Black-bellied is one of eight species of whistling-ducks worldwide, in the tropics and subtropics.
