We are thrilled to announce that Jonese Franklin has joined the BirdNote team as Content Director!
Jonese has two decades of experience in public media, most recently as Program Director for 89.3 WFPL in Louisville, Kentucky. While at WFPL she was also an on-air host, News Editor and Digital Editor. Previously, Jonese managed the newsroom and station operations at WEKU in Richmond, Kentucky. She also managed the music and production departments and staff at WMKY in Morehead, Kentucky.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Communications with an emphasis in Electronic Media from Morehead State University in Kentucky, and has co-created and produced two limited-run podcasts as well as a daily news podcast. She’s a big believer in the power of animals and nature in helping to make us feel more grounded to our homes and connected to each other.
