Please join BirdNote for an evening of inspiration from the collection of essays titled When Birds Are Near: Dispatches from Contemporary Writers.
- Jenn Dean will read from her essay, “The Keepers of the Ghost Bird,” which takes readers to Bermuda to encounter one of the rarest birds: the Bermuda Petrel or Cahow.
- Thomas Bancroft, ornithologist, writer and photographer, will read from his lyrical essay, “This Is My Tribe.”
- Susan Fox Rogers, editor of When Birds Are Near, will reflect on her dual passions for birds and for books.
