Harlequin Ducks at Alki Beach

Photographer Gregg Thompson encountered these handsome male Harlequin Ducks at Alki Beach in Seattle, Washington. While these ducks spend breeding season in the mountains, winter finds them on the coast where they prefer rocky shorelines.
