Owen Deutsch, a Chicago native, had a 20-year career as a fashion photographer. He retired in l986 to devote full time to his second business, Loft Development Corporation. In 2002, when a close friend asked Owen for some help with his bird photography, a whole new world of birding opened up to him and he was hooked. He was back in the beauty business again, but this time it was birds, butterflies and all the magnificent creatures of nature. Owen travels all over the world in pursuit of his passion. Owen’s photography is featured in Bringing Back the Birds, published in spring 2019.
