I am originally from Chicago, Illinois. I moved to Houston, Texas for 17 years, then to the wilds of West Texas. My house (location) was one of the sites of the Davis Mountain Hummingbird Festival for nine years. Fifteen of the 18 hummingbird species seen in Texas have been seen in my backyard. Hence, all the hummingbird photos! I publish newsletters for a living, and go out and photograph whenever I get a chance. I am very much a beginner!
