Chad Witko is a Specialist in Avian Biology with the National Audubon Society’s Science Team and Migratory Bird Initiative. Prior to joining Audubon, he worked on a range of avian research, conservation, and education projects across the United States beginning in 2004.
A lifelong birder with deep expertise in bird identification and distribution, Chad serves as an eBird reviewer and is a member of the Vermont Bird Records Committee. His primary interests include bird migration, patterns of vagrancy, and seabirds.
Chad is also committed to community engagement and is the founder of the Antioch Bird Club. He lives in southeastern Vermont with his partner and daughter.
