Illustrator David Sibley and actor H. Jon Benjamin will face off in the bird illustration battle of the century during BirdNote's Year-end Celebration and Auction!
Len Blumin is a retired E.R. Physician, living with his wife Patti in Mill Valley, California. They are avid birders, and Len enjoys taking digital photographs of birds through his spotting scope, a technique known as "digiscoping.” Currently he’s working actively as a volunteer with Audubon Canyon Ranch (ACR), Point Reyes Bird Observatory Conservation Science, and the Marin Audubon Society. His wife Patti has been a docent at ACR for 30 years, and Len has served on the ACR board of directors for 20 years (including a stint as president). ACR remains their favorite non-profit, and Len is currently working there to build a nature photo-library for their website, www.egret.org.
He also sometimes leads local birding trips.
