Garrett Lau works as a software engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area. His hobbies include cycling as well as photography. Before becoming interested in birds, he established a reputation as a bicycle race photographer. His photos have appeared on popular cycling websites and in a few print publications. Now he spends more time photographing birds than bicycle races. He finds that walking around a nature preserve is a nice way to wind down at the end of the day.
